Frames
The type of door and the environment in which the door is placed can be decided in the choice of frame. Thermod offers a large number of frame solutions in several different materials.
1. material
Thermod's frames are offered in three different materials, anodized aluminum, stainless steel and acid-proof stainless steel.
Anodized aluminum
Material: EN AW-6060
The aluminum frame is our most affordable frame solution. Extruded, anodized aluminium frames provide a torsion and impact resistant construction, offered in a painted finish. The aluminum frame is offered with a scope that covers the entire opening in an attractive way and facilitates installation. This can also be accommodated for environments where partial painting is desired.
Scope on both sides.
Aluminum frames are often used in gymnasiums, toilets, restaurants and industries.
Matt brushed stainless steel
Material: EN 1.4301
Stainless steel frames are primarily used in environments with high corrosion requirements. We can also meet requests for partial painting of the frames and for hidden frames adapted to the current wall thickness.
Scope on both sides.
Stainless steel frames are commonly used in environments such as laboratories, for example.
Matte brushed acid-proof stainless steel
Material: EN 1.4404
Acid-resistant stainless steel frames are mainly used in environments with extreme corrosion requirements. For environments where partial lacquering is desired, this can be accommodated, as well as stealth frames adapted to the current wall thickness.
Scope on both sides.
Commonly used in special environments.
2. door type
Another factor influencing the choice of frame solution is the type of door for which the frame is intended. The range is large. Our program includes solutions for inner doors, swing doors, sliding doors, X-ray doors, fire doors, sound doors and freezer and cold room doors.
Inner doors
Hinged doors
The frame system forms a lining on one or two sides of the wall, depending on the wall thickness.
Swing doors PD, Swing doors PDK, Sliding doors SDID, Opening frames
Fire doors
EI 30
A frame: Lining on both sides, 100-300mm.
B frame: Lining on hinge side, frame depth 88mm.
Other wall thicknesses on request.
EI 60
A frame: Lining on both sides, 100-300mm.
B frame: Lining on hinge side, frame depth 104mm.
Other wall thicknesses on request.
Insulated doors
Sliding door cooling port
Sliding door freezer port
Cold room doors
The frames form a lining on one or both sides of the wall depending on the thickness of the wall. The structure has a broken thermal bridge.
Freezer doors
The frames form a lining on one or both sides of the wall depending on the thickness of the wall. Thanks to a heating cable in the frame, the door does not freeze and no condensation forms. The construction has a broken thermal bridge.
