New doors to Spine Center Gothenburg
Spine Center in Gothenburg has recently carried out a year-long project to expand and renew its operations department. Spine Center Gothenburg is a highly specialized unit that offers professional and individual care of patients with problems caused by diseases of the back of the neck, thoracic spine or lumbar spine.
Project manager Niklas Kruse and Spine Center CEO Åke Blixt comment on the project. Niklas Kruse is a specialist in the design of care facilities and has worked on several similar projects.

"The project has been a logistical challenge. The department's spaces would be redesigned to make room for a third operating theatre, with additional rooms for preparation and service. In addition, in order to meet the strict hygiene requirements, new sliding doors needed to be installed, which take up space in order to be opened. However, with the help of skilled builders and collaboration with Thermod, the installation could be carried out correctly. It was done with small margins!
The discovery of Thermod's hermetic doors was made via the website. We benefited from the door drawings and later the personal services of Thermod's staff. What we wanted to achieve was a stylish, open environment that at the same time gave patients a sense of privacy.
Together with Thermod, we came up with a solution with sliding doors with aluminum frame and sparingly frosted glass with privacy at bed height.
We are completely satisfied with the result but also with the economy of construction. The new doors provide a stylish and modern environment. It turned out really nice."

"In an operation there is a certain risk of infection that we have to consider. Therefore, doors leading into operating theatres should be of a high standard. The risk of infection must be minimized. Automatic sliding doors with foot openers allow the patient to be moved in and out of the operating room smoothly.
